2011 Annual Client Meeting - Anchorage, Alaska

On the Road to Value-Based Benefit Design was the topic of the National CooperativeRx/HCCMCA Annual Client Meeting in Anchorage Alaska last week.  John Miall, one of the innovators behind the Asheville Project, Jeff Schulte of Axia Strategies and Eric Samaniego of Alere provided valuable information to attendees about creating healthier employees and understanding value based benefit design.

PPACA Considerations for your Drug Plan [PDF] - Sept. 8, 2010

On March 23, 2010, the President signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) into law, which will have both long- and short-term impacts for all group health plans. WisconsinRx/National CooperativeRx has information about certain provisions that may affect members’ pharmaceutical benefits plan starting with their next plan year.

HCR Compliance

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act includes a list of documents that plan sponsors must provide to plan participants.  One newly added document is a Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC).  To help your plan adhere to providing an SBC, we have attached a PDF from CVS Caremark.  Many plans will be required to supply an SBC as soon as September 2012.
