We also offer several direct-to-consumer tools (included in membership) that educate and empower consumers to opt for cost-effective medications, which saves money for both plans and participants. A few examples:
  • The iBenefit® Report, an industry first, helps plan participants understand the costs, values, and savings opportunities available for medications. Through the dynamic messaging, plan participants are encouraged to review their prescription history, costs, and options (based on their disease-state opportunities) and take action.   • Targeted Generic Alternative Mailing Solution (TGAM), another industry first, helps targeted participants become more aware of generics available for certain single-source brands.

  • Savings-Based eAlerts are personalized savings messages sent to the plan participant via a secure message center. Plan participants are able to view on-line their saving options based on their prescription history. We also offer permission-based family viewing of prescription history.

  • The Value Drug Savings Tool on www.caremark.com is special, because it is a drug price and comparison tool that also provides clinically appropriate dose and strength, along with alternative class recommendations and over-the counter (OTC) information.
